Core themes:
Children's rights are human rights that need extra care

Identity, Protection, Participation, Development, Survival
The right to play is the right to learn!
Rights couple with responsibilities ~
- The root of Children's Rights: "I exist. We exist!"
- Embodiment of rights: rights express the dignity of being human
Important notes:
- Standing up for rights is a way to take responsibility for them, not a way to compete with adult priorities and control
- Child Rights awareness supports what is already happening in the classroom regarding community agreements, norms, values
- Mutuality: one's rights should never stamp out another's rights.
